Frequently asked questions

What makes communication 'trauma-informed'?

Trauma-informed communication recognizes that many people have experienced adversity, and uses language, pacing and boundaries that create psychological safety, reduce re-traumatization and build trust.

Is this training only for clinical staff?

No. Anyone who has difficult or high-stakes conversations with clients, patients, students or community members will benefit — including intake staff, reception, case managers, educators and managers.

Can this be delivered virtually for remote Canadian teams?

Yes. Virtual sessions are available nationwide and include breakout practice, role play and live feedback using secure video platforms.

How is the content customized for our sector?

Before the workshop we discuss your typical client interactions, escalation patterns and organizational policies so the scenarios, language examples and role plays reflect your real work context.
